Leash Walking - Frustrating to Fun

Instead of being frustrated when walking your dog, learn how to work together so you and your dog have more fun.

Description

Dog walks can be a great way to get out for exercise and explore the world together with our dogs. Loose leash walking is not a natural skill for many dogs. We’re here to help put the fun back into your walks!

In this five-week class we cover the before, the during, and the after.

- Did you know your walk actually starts before the leash is clipped to your dog’s collar or harness? We’ll build connection and engagement so that we’re walking as a team.

- Does your dog pull? We’ll use games and positive training techniques to build value for being by your side instead of out front.

- Does your dog become distracted by everything in the environment? We’ll practice ways to use your environment to turn distraction into connection.

NOTE:  This class is not for dogs that are highly reactive on leash towards other dogs. For challenges related to reactive or aggressive behavior, please contact us about scheduling a private lesson.

Prerequisites

Age of Dog:  16 weeks and older
