Sport Dog Foundations 1
Building skills using games and toys to help your dog connect and work with you. This is the first class of a two-part series. Required before enrolling in Agility classes. Recommended for all sports and working dogs.
Description
Learning to have FUN with your dog is the first step for all working and sports dogs! The following steps are building Confidence, Focus, and Trust.
During our Sport Dog two-part foundation series, you will learn how to accomplish and grow these goals.

We will use balance boards, canine fitness equipment, targets, crates, toys, balance beams, and platforms to teach skills and build body awareness.
NOTE: This course is taught inside our air-conditioned training room. Great way to get your dog some exercise while staying nice and cool.
What to bring
- 100 small, super exciting treats for your dog.
- 4 to a 6-foot leash (no retractable leashes)
- Flat collar or harness (no prong, pinch, electric, or choke collars)
- A squeaky toy if you have one. A toy with a short rope also works well.
- We recommend a treat pouch. This can be purchased from your instructor.
Prerequisites
Age of Dog: 5 months and older. Dogs can start at any age.
Prerequisite: Dog Manners, Puppy Manners, AKC STAR Puppy or equivalent.
