Terms and Conditions

Our goal is to be as transparent as possible. Please carefully read these Terms and Conditions before registering for a course.

Multi-week classes and one day events – If the course starts in 7 days or less, refunds, transfers and credits are not allowed.

Summer camps - No summer camp refunds after June.

Private lessons - Refunds, transfers, and or credits are not available if your lesson starts in 48 hours or less.

Outdoor classes during severe weather – When the Leander School District delays or cancels classes, the Dog Alliance will do the same. When possible, severe weather days will be rescheduled. *Guests - Most classes are for one handler per dog. If you would like to switch handlers each session, please provide contact information for both handlers. If you decide to add a handler after paying for the course, please email frontdesk@thedogalliance.org. If you would like multiple family members involved in the training of your dog, please consider taking a private lesson. Up to four humans can attend each private lesson.

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Dog Alliance, its officers, instructors, employees, property owners, participants, and insurers of all these parties (the Parties) from and against any and all expenses, losses, claims, liabilities of any nature that arise from or incident to the use of the facilities and equipment belonging to or used by the Parties. I understand that my dog and I use the facilities and equipment at our own risk and that the Parties are not responsible for any accident, injury, or illness that might arise from such use.

Aggression Policy

No dogs showing aggression toward another dog or human being will be allowed to remain in the class. If you are unsure if your dog is appropriate for a class setting, please schedule a private lesson before signing up for a class. Private lesson fees apply.

Failure to provide vaccination information will result in termination from class without a refund. We encourage you to ask your vet to email vaccination records to frontdesk@thedogalliance.org.

No dogs with visible signs of illness should be brought to any training location used by The Dog Alliance. Dogs adopted or rescued from a shelter or outside a pet store environment are not allowed in classes or on property within two weeks of adoption or rescue. Females in heat may attend classes if diapered.

Complaint Policy for Non-employees

Any non-employee (volunteer/applicant/student/recipient/donor) who has a grievance concerning the Dog Alliance practices has the right to file a complaint according to procedures outlined in this policy. If the Executive Director is unable to resolve the issue, the person has a right to appeal to the Board of Directors.

Affected parties should attempt to resolve the problem informally as soon as possible. Volunteers should discuss issues with the Volunteer Coordinator and applicants/students/recipients with their trainer or program manager/director. If a solution cannot be reached, the person may present a formal complaint, in writing, to the Executive Director. Formal complaints and responses to them will be documented and kept on file.
