Bring your dog to practice skills needed in a school environment. Learn how to help kids learn to read. Learn about helping others through the aftermath of a traumatic event.

2. Learn and practice skills needed when working with a dog in a school - Bring your dog, let's practice.  Susan Windham, CPDT

3.  Break - snacks 

4.  Teaching Children Reading Skills - Cheryl White, former special education teacher

5.  Break

6.  Trauma - What is it?  How to recognize when help is needed.  How to actively listen?  Learn about our new trauma response team. 

 

The registration fee will cover the cost of using our registration system to aid in coordination.  If you need a scholarship, please let us know.  We do not want cost to be a barrier to volunteering.  

Breakfast, snacks, and drinks are provided.  Door prizes will also be available as thank-you gifts for serving our community.  

Prerequisites

Priority is given to active Bow Wow Therapy dog handlers.  Students in Bow Wow Therapy Dog classes or with other organizations are welcome to attend.
