Learn the ins and outs of the Dog Alliance Therapy Dog program.

Description

In this workshop, you will learn about the joys of volunteering with your dog.  You will learn how the program is funded, the fees, where we visit, and our code of ethics.  You will learn about becoming a volunteer, navigating our volunteer system, the protocols and procedures of various environments where therapy dogs visit, reporting an incident, preventing issues, advocating for your dog, and more. 

This workshop is for humans only.  The instructor is part of the therapy dog deployment staff at Dog Alliance.  

 

Prerequisites

An interest in becoming a therapy dog handler.
