Leannah Fulmer
An avid animal lover from the start, Leannah’s interests and hobbies have always centered around animals. From rabbit breeding and showing, to horse riding, to volunteering at animal shelters, she has always felt most at home when working with animals and making friends with fellow animal lovers.
After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in English, Leannah became a professional dog trainer through a combination of formal education, volunteer work, and paid positions.
In 2019 she obtained her professional dog trainer certification through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. She has gone on to become a Certified Fear Free Professional (2022) and AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator (2023).
Leannah enjoys teaching puppy and basic manners group classes, and her favorite areas of dog training are puppy socialization and cooperative care. She enjoys helping people understand dog behavior and how to live their best lives with their canine companions.
Leannah also believes firmly that public education is key to preventing animal neglect, abuse, and overpopulation, and volunteers her time to provide humane education presentations on topics such as dog bite prevention, animal behavior, and responsible pet guardianship.
Interests
When not teaching classes or pursuing enrichment activities with her two mix breed dogs Luke and Leia, Leannah enjoys spending time with her husband and 14 year old son, pursuing native plant gardening and roller skating.
