Building Confidence for Shy Dogs

Build your dog's confidence in a safe setting with the guidance of an experienced dog trainer!

Description

This class is for pups who are cautious, nervous about new experiences, dogs who shy away from unfamiliar people/dogs/places, or who take time to warm up in social interactions. It is taught by Behaviorist Nancy McIntire who can work with you and your dog to achieve your goals.

In this course we will:

- Utilize exercises and games to help our sensitive dogs gain confidence, optimism, and become more comfortable in the world.

- Build strategies that help our dogs successfully navigate situations that are worrying to them.

- Strengthen the connection and trust between handler and dog

Note:  If your dog displays reactivity or persistent barking and frustration when around other dogs, then we suggest starting with a private training lesson rather than a group class environment.
