Intermediate Manners - Obedience with Distractions

Your dog has learned the basics and can perform them reliably at home in a controlled environment.
The goal of this course is to improve the consistency of the skills learned in "Beginner Dog Obedience & Manners" while increasing duration, distance, and distractions.
We guarantee your dog will be challenged! Every week is different to make it fun for you and your dog.
New skills include:
- Look at that
- Controlled exits and entrances at doorways
- Controlled exits and entrances from a car
- Touch
- Targeting
- Understanding thresholds, stress, and dog body language
Due to the nature of the environment, the lessons include working with other people, dogs, and a wide variety of props in a distracting environment. The exercises, props, and games used in this course will vary each session. Students are welcome to repeat this course to improve consistency.
Prerequisites
Age of Dog: 6 months and older
Beginner Dog Obedience & Manners or instructor approval. Dogs and their handlers must be comfortable working in a live group setting. This course is not recommended for dogs who bark incessantly or who are anxious or aggressive.
