Intermediate Manners - Obedience with Distractions

Strengthen your dog's focus and obedience by practicing commands with distractions, distance, and longer durations.

Description

Your dog has learned the basics and can perform them reliably at home in a controlled environment.

The goal of this course is to improve the consistency of the skills learned in "Beginner Dog Obedience & Manners" while increasing duration, distance, and distractions.

We guarantee your dog will be challenged!  Every week is different to make it fun for you and your dog.

New skills include:

  • Look at that
  • Controlled exits and entrances at doorways
  • Controlled exits and entrances from a car
  • Touch
  • Targeting
  • Understanding thresholds, stress, and dog body language

Due to the nature of the environment, the lessons include working with other people, dogs, and a wide variety of props in a distracting environment.  The exercises, props, and games used in this course will vary each session.  Students are welcome to repeat this course to improve consistency.
