Becca Young

Becca has been training animals for over 15 years, with a focus on training dogs since 2013. Becca grew up in the Northern Virginia Area where she worked with and trained horses. This background started her passion for working with animals in a fear-free setting without using unnecessary force.  After studying Animal Science and Psychology at Texas State University, Becca began working with dogs and managing a boarding facility in the Northern Austin Area.  She then spent 3 years designing and implementing a socialization and training program to get dogs and puppies with behavior issues integrated successfully into play groups.  In 2016 Becca got her Dog Training Certification though Animal Behavior College and began training Service Dogs ever since. Becca has worked with a wide variety of dogs on basic, advanced, and behavior modification training throughout her career.

Becca believes in training dogs in their natural setting.  Her goal is to set a dog up for success to make constructive choices that lead to good dog manners!  Once those choices become manners, Becca uses small modifications to increase the dog's skills in a fun and playful way.  She believes all training involves some type of behavior modification; therefore, her basic manners training starts with a foundation of behavior modification.

Interests

When Becca is not training dogs, she's spending time with her son and playing superheroes. She loves to hike with her pup and take dancing lessons as well!
