Service Dog Program Testing

Temperament evaluations for approved Service Dog Program applicants and current Dog Alliance service dog teams.

Description

Please only register for this Evaluation if you have completed the Service Dog Program application and qualification process. If you are looking to get started in our Service Dog Programs, use this link to see your options and choose your best fit.

This is a focused 20-minute assessment where a program evaluator observes your dog’s temperament and suitability for service work. The evaluation will cover skills like neutrality to dogs and people, startle recovery, polite greetings, handler focus, walking manners, and calm behavior around distractions.

At the end, you’ll get clear verbal results and easy, step-by-step recommendations for your next move in the Dog Alliance Service Dog pathway (such as classes, practice plans, or private coaching).

Texas Veteran discount is available -- the code is provided during the Service Dog application process.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Temperament Testing supports placement and training decisions but does not, by itself, qualify a dog as a service dog or guarantee advancement.
